Navajo AML Public Facility Projects
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Technical assistance
is a continued fundamental component of our development strategy. We offer
technical assistance in predevelopment or assessment, guidance development, or
other assistance needed to develop a project or write a grant. We assist
communities and agencies from feasibility studies and implementation of
strategic plans to minor financial management and reference the internet for
development and/or administration procedures for the state, federal or Navajo
Nation government. Within the last three grant years (FY’04, FY’05, FY’06), we
have utilized 30% of $9.9 million toward our overall program project development
costs. Samples of this work include:

Project Development:
identifying, formulating project development strategies, implementing site
assessments, surveys, GPS, project preparatory, i.e., preparation of
feasibility studies, scope of work and detailed engineering for AML
projects, assistance with advertising for professional consulting services
for project.

NEPA: Archaeology, Biological, Environmental
Assessments, consultation requirements

Contract Management:
Procurement, packaging, SAS tracking

Construction Management: Various Contracts,
Professional Service Contracts, Administrative Agreements, Memorandum of
Understanding/Agreement

Engineering:
Designs, reclamation methods, land conservation, cost, AutoCAD, SurvCADD,
GIS Database

Partnerships:
Improving the capabilities of governments and executing agencies with Office
of Surface Mining, Environmental Protection Agency, Army Corp of Engineers,
State/Tribal, Department of Energy, Abandoned Mine Lands, Navajo Nation
Capital Improvement Office, Design and Engineering Services, Division of
Natural Resources,

Scheduling/Planning:
MS Projects, Timelines, project scheduling, 5-year plans, strategic plans,
budgets fostering regional cooperation
